Suomalaisten yritysten kannattaa tutkia Turkin mahdollisuuksia, sillä osaamiselle vihreässä siirtymässä, korkeassa teknologiassa ja kiertotaloudessa on täällä valtava kysyntä. Suomen ja Turkin välinen kauppa oli vuonna 2021 ennätykselliset 1,9 miljardia euroa. Suomen tavaravienti Turkkiin kasvoi 24 prosenttia ja tavaratuonti Turkista kasvoi peräti 31 prosenttia. Vuosi 2021 oli Turkille pandemiasta huolimatta kaikkien aikojen vientiennätys.
AI Tomorrow Summit gathers powerful lineup to discuss EU’s role in Artificial Intelligence
Turkey’s first “the most comprehensive and sustainable artificial intelligence summit” brought together valuable speakers and business people from the world and Turkey. Finnish Artificial Intelligence (AI) experts attended the AI Tomorrow Summit held for the first time by Artificial Intelligence Policies Association (AIPA) on 11 March 2022. Stefan Lindström, Heikki Huttunen, and Juha Heikkilä were the guest speakers in the panel session “EU & AI”, focusing on the growing importance of AI and the EU’s contribution to human-centric digitalization.

Finland-Turkey trade hits all-time high in 2021
Bilateral trade between Finland and Turkey hit an all-time high in 2021, according to data from Finnish Customs (Tulli). Last year Finland-Turkey trade in goods totaled 1 672 MEUR, up 27% from 1 317 MEUR in 2020. Service exports from Finland to Turkey recorded 143 MEUR (-7% from 2020) while service exports from Turkey to Finland 99 MEUR (+43% from 2020).

There and back again – Experiences as an exchange student in Turkey
Hello readers, I am Vilja Vainio, a Finnish university student. Last autumn I worked as an intern at the Embassy of Finland in Ankara and this Spring I’m going to spend as an Erasmus exchange student at the Middle East Technical University. As well as the embassy, also METU is located in the capital of Turkey. Therefore, I have now a chance to experience all the seasons and in total almost a whole school year in here.
