New wood – Uusi Puu exhibition launched in January 2025 in Chiang Mai, Thailand with great suggests. Opening ceremony gathered 50 of participants and great opening remarks were heard from different special experts Imhathai Kunjina, Director of CEA Chiang Mai and Dr. Pitak Laoratanakun, Head of Research, MTEC.

New Wood exhibition in Thailand has been co-organized by Embassy of Finland in Bangkok, Creative Economy Agency (CEA), National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC)  and Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC) with support of Vision Finland and Thai-Finnish Chamber of Commerce (TFCC). 

New Wood exhibition offers to its viewers wood-based solutions and invites them to search green solutions for better and sustainable future. New Wood is a Finnish community of forest industry, manufacturers, research institutes and public organizations that promotes the wood-based bioeconomy and showcases new wood-based solutions, their social impact and what the future of the industry looks like. Wood is a renewable and fully recyclable raw material that can be used to reduce dependence on fossil raw materials.
