The Embassy of Finland in Beirut will open consular and immigration services as of 1.5.2025

Finland will start providing consular and immigration services at the Embassy of Finland in Beirut. In the future, Finnish citizens will for example be able to renew their passports at the Embassy of Finland in Beirut. As a result of the amendment, identification related to residence permit applications will be conducted by the Embassy of Finland in Beirut instead of the Embassy of Finland in Ankara.

Lebanese citizens and third-country nationals legally residing in Lebanon will continue to be able to submit visa applications to the Beirut VFS global Visa Centre. Submitting a visa application requires an appointment that can be reserved via the online booking system

In the future, applicants for the first residence permit in Finland will be able to apply for their permit and identify themselves at the Embassy in Beirut. Applicants who have already been added to the identification queue will be contacted separately by the Embassy regarding their appointment. The opening of appointments for new customers will be announced on the mission's website later on.
