Finnish company Infrakit introduced its solutions and services to the most important stakeholders in civil engineering in Serbia at a promotion event organised together with the Embassy. Infrakit's products are used in road and railroad construction projects.

The Embassy of Finland in Belgrade together with the Serbian Finnish Association-SEURA and publishing company Odiseja marked the Kalevala Day, known also as the Day of Finnish Culture, at the UK Parobrod.

Finland's support totals over 100 million euros in 2001–2016.

The Government's action plan aims to stem in the short term the uncontrolled influx of asylum seekers into the country, to contain asylum costs and to integrate efficiently those who have been granted asylum. Finland will also make the asylum and return processes more effective and contribute to the management of the EU's external borders.

The Finnish Immigration Service considers the general security situation in Albania to be stable. Asylum applications from Albanians have mainly been decided in an accelerated procedure as manifestly unfounded applications.

The participating States of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, OSCE, will convene for an informal high-level meeting in Helsinki on 10 July. In addition to the OSCE Troika, that is the Foreign Ministers of Switzerland, Serbia and Germany, deputy ministers from 57 participating States have been invited to attend the meeting.

Ivica Dačić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, will visit Finland on 9 October and meet with Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja. In addition to bilateral relations between Finland and Serbia, the Foreign Ministers will discuss, among other issues, Serbia’s rapprochement with the EU, Western Balkan regional relations and cooperation, Serbia’s Chairmanship of the OSCE in the year 2015, and other topical foreign policy questions, such as the situation in Ukraine.
