Custom Statistics: Trade between Finland and Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro in 2015
Trade figures between Finland and Western Balkan countries, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro, remain at a moderate level. The export of Finnish products remains strong compared to the value of imports from Serbia and Montenegro. Numerous opportunities for Finnish companies to improve current trade figures exist in these Western Balkan markets.

The Government of Montenegro is stimulating direct investments
The Government of Montenegro is committed to stimulate direct investments in the country. For that reason, Decree on Fostering Direct Investments was created at the end of 2015. Furthermore, public announcement for participation of the allocation of funds for stimulating direct investments was published on 11th of March, 2016. Finnish companies can utilize this opportunity for a possible market entry into Montenegro.

Finnish experts assist Serbia in developing the transport sector
Finnish transport expert Mr Juha Piironen is one of the few Finns living in Serbia. He is a leader of a Twinning project aimed at improving the transport sector in Serbia. We had a nice opportunity to talk to Juha about the project and his impressions of Serbia.

Finnish Digital Innovations in Serbia
Finnish company Infrakit introduced its solutions and services to the most important stakeholders in civil engineering in Serbia at a promotion event organised together with the Embassy. Infrakit's products are used in road and railroad construction projects.
