Finnish Films at Nordic Film Festival
This autumn, the Embassies of Finland, Denmark Norway and Sweden are organizing the Nordic Film Festival in Montenegro and Serbia with the support of Nordic Council of Ministers. Two Finnish films will be screened in this Nordic section in Podgorica, Berane, Čačak, Herceg Novi, Valjevo, Kotor, Kovin, Nikšić and Bar. Ambassador of Finland, Pertti Ikonen will open the Nordic Film Festival on 12 December, 2017 in Bar.

Finns are planting trees in Belgrade
Within the program of marking one hundred years of Finland’s independence in Serbia, the Embassy of Finland in Belgrade donated twenty cherry trees to the Municipality of Savski Venac. Ambassador of Finland Pertti Ikonen planted the first tree in the forest-park Bencion Buli, together with Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali, the Director of City Greenery Slobodan Stanojevic and the President of Municipality of Savski Venac Irena Vujovic.

Nordic Glass Exhibition in Belgrade and Novi Sad
The exhibition of contemporary Nordic glass “A Touch of Glass” was held at the Belgrade Museum of Applied Arts from 9 February to 15 March and it will be on display at the Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad from 21 March until 20 April 2017. “A Touch of Glass” exhibition is the result of cooperation between the museums and the embassies of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

Concert of Jean Sibelius' music at the Belgrade City Assembly
The Embassy of Finland in Belgrade and the Cultural Centre of Belgrade organized a concert of Jean Sibelius' music at the Belgrade City Assembly on Monday 27 February. In the concert, Sibelius’ classical pieces were performed by Uki Ovaskainen, a Finnish pianist well-known to the audience in Belgrade, Aneta Ristic, soprano, and Vuk Ovaskainen, violoncellist.
