Advance voting in Finland's presidential elections in 2024 in Singapore
Finland will hold its presidential elections on Sunday 28 January 2024. Advance voting will be possible in Singapore from 17 to 19 January 2024. The election day for a possible second round will be 11 February 2024, and advance voting in Singapore will be possible from 31 January to 2 February 2024.
Foreign Ministry to survey market for application submission services for visas and residence permits
Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs is planning to launch a tendering process for outsourcing its entry permit application submission services in 2024. As a preparation for the upcoming tendering process, the Ministry will survey the market in autumn 2023.
New appointments: Ambassadors to Alger, Belgrade, New Delhi, Ottawa, Rabat and Singapore and a Deputy Director General to Political Department
At the presidential session on Friday 12 May, the President of the Republic decided to appoint six new Ambassadors. The Government appointed Counsellor for Foreign Affairs Erik Lundberg to continue as Deputy Director General of the Political Department.

Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Transport and Communications Minna Kivimäki has been nominated a candidate for the post of Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). There are altogether seven candidates for the post.
