Visit Finland launched the Rent a Finn campaign in January based on research according to which Finland is the wolrd's happiest country. Visit Finland sent an invitation to the world to come and see the happy Finns and Finland. The campaign received over 6 000 applications from 124 countries.

One of the campaign's participants traveling to Finland was Singaporean Charlene, who spent a week in Ansalahti. Charlene, as all travellers participating in the campaign, was accommodated by a regular Finn who introduced her to Finnish culture, nature and mindscape.

Based on Charlene's experiences, a short documentary was made depicting the transition from a dynamic city state to Finnish cottage scenery and the local soulscape.

"This has been a life changing experience and I can feel the happiness and calm inside me", says Charlene of her journey.
