Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb to visit the Persian Gulf

Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will visit Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar from 17 to 21 January. The Foreign Minister’s agenda includes meetings with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, the Sultan of Oman and the Crown Price of Qatar.

This is Foreign Minister Stubb’s first visit to the Persian Gulf region. Among the issues to be discussed are, for example, topical international affairs such as the situation in Iran and Yemen, the Middle East peace process as well as climate and energy issues. In Riyadh the Minister will also deliver a talk entitled “The EU and the New Global Order: The Finnish Perspective”.
