Combating Hate Crimes – A long way to go
Hate crimes are not to be taken lightly – this is one message the Embassy of Finland stands by. To begin with, there certainly is plenty of room to learn about hate crimes: what triggers them, how they could be addressed by authorities and citizens alike, and many other equally important matters. Luckily, the Center for Legal Resources with the Embassy's support, addressed the phenomenon of hate crime in Romania two weeks ago.

EU:s arvsförordning börjar tillämpas
EU-förordningen om internationella arvsfrågor börjar tillämpas den 17 augusti 2015. Förordningen underlättar handläggningen av arvsfrågor som har anknytning till flera olika medlemsstater. Förordningen inverkar dock inte på handläggningen av nationella arvsfrågor och gäller inte heller skatter.

EU:n perintöasetuksen soveltaminen alkaa
Kansainvälisiä perintöasioita koskevaa EU-asetusta aletaan soveltaa 17.8.2015. Asetus yhtenäistää sellaisten perintöasioiden hoitamista, joilla on liittymiä useampaan jäsenvaltioon. Asetuksella ei ole vaikutusta kansallisten perintöasioiden hoitoon eikä se koske verotusta.

Ändringar i den konsulära servicen vid Finlands utlandsbeskickningar
Samtliga Finlands utlandsbeskickningar behöver inte i fortsättningen tillhandahålla alla konsulära tjänster som de hittills tillhandahållit. Tjänster för finländare i nödsituationer sköts även i fortsättningen vid alla Finlands utlandsbeskickningar.

Embassy of Finland joined together with Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Switzerland, French, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, The Netherlands, UK, Portugal, Poland, Spain, USA, Sweden and Ireland in supporting the Bucharest Pride Festival 2015.

The colourful flag, symbolising the diversity of the LGBTI community
17th of May was the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. The Embassy of Finland marked the day by hoisting the rainbow flag. The colourful flag, symbolising the diversity of the LGBTI community, will be fluttering there for a whole week and reminding that sexual or gender identity is not an acceptable cause for discrimination. During that week Bucharest Pride will be celebrated.

A visit to the Romanian Design Week in Hanul Gabroveni
