Millennium Youth Camp sammanför unga framtida experter från 22 länder i Finland
Mellan den 11 och 17 juni arrangerar man för andra gången vetenskapslägret Millennium Youth Camp (MY Camp) för 16−19-åriga begåvade unga. Lägret är unikt även på ett internationellt plan. Deltagarna kommer att besöka högskolor och flera finländska företag i huvudstadsregionen, genomföra olika projekt i smågrupper och diskutera med professor Stephen Furber, som är en av Millennium-pristagarna.

Millennium Youth Camp brings future experts from 22 countries to Finland
The second Millennium Youth Camp for talented young people aged 16-19 will start on 11 June and run until 17 June. MY Campers will be introduced to a number of Finnish companies and higher educational institutions. The MY Camp programme includes project work carried out in small multi-national groups and the opportunity to meet Stephen Furber, one of the 2010 Millennium Technology Prize Laureates. Millennium Youth Camp is a unique happening.

Vain hölmöläinen matkustaa ilman vakuutusta
Kun hätä ulkomailla yllättää, Suomen edustustot auttavat ja neuvovat. Rahaa tai laskujen maksua ulkoministeriöltä on kuitenkin turhaa odottaa, sillä se ei kuulu valtion tehtäviin. Vastuu on jokaisella matkailijalla ja siksi on syytä hankkia matkavakuutus.

Nordycka współpraca
W dniu 11 maja 2011 roku Republika Finlandii otworzyła nowy Konsulat Honorowy w Krakowie w duchu zacieśniania współpracy nordyckiej. Długi proces poszukiwań uwieńczyło nominowanie na Konsula Honorowego pana Janusza Kahla, Prezesa biura konsultingowego NordicHouse. Janusz Kahl pełni także funkcję Konsula Honorowego Danii i Szwecji. Do czasu otwarcia nowego konsulatu w Krakowie Finlandia miała wcześniej tylko jeden Konsulat Honorowy w Gdyni.

ENO Tree Planting Day calls to act now for forests
Schools, children, youth and ngo’s are planting trees today - May 20th - in every corner of the world. Trees are planted to celebrate the international year of forests and their importance. Over 5 000 schools or groups will take part in 137 countries, Guatemala, Nauru and Kosovo as the new entries. Around one million trees will be planted to celebrate the day.
