Finland Helps Improve the Financial Situation of the UN
Finland has been thanked by the UN for being one of the countries that have met all of their financial obligations to the Organization in full and on time. The UN Secretary-General’s Report of 18 October 2011 Improving the financial situation of the United Nations (1/66/521) states that the only way to ensure a more stable financial base for the work of the UN is for all Member States to meet their financial obligations.

Yritystapaamisessa erityisvieras
Suurlähettiläs Vesa Himanen järjesti 9.11. suomalaisille ja Suomen kanssa toimiville yrityksille syystapaamisen. Tapaamisten ohjelmassa on perinteisesti ollut tietoa ajankohtaisista kysymyksistä suurlähetystön näkökulmasta sekä mahdollisuuksia vapaamuotoiseen keskusteluun buffetin äärellä.

FM Erkki Tuomioja: More cooperation is more security
Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja gave a speech at the London School of Economics on the role of the European Union in international issues. According to Minister Tuomioja, the leadership shown by the EU is weaker today than it has been at best, certainly in relation to what is needed. In his speech he also set out prospects for Nordic co-operation.

Streets ahead - listen to the sound world of Design Capital Helsinki
