Finland improves availability of consular and entry permit services in the Philippines

The services of the Consular Office of Finland in Manila, the Philippines, will be moving to a new location and will be operating from a VFS Global Application Centre (AC). The change will take place in November 2018. When you need services concerning your passport or ID card or legalisation and consular services, make an appointment through the link on the website of the Consular Office.

The Royal Norwegian Embassy(Link to another website.) (Opens New Window) in Manila will serve you in visa matters.

The process of applying a residence permit to Finland will change. Previously, residence permits to Finland have been applied via the Embassy of Finland in Kuala Lumpur, but now that Finland outsources the acceptance of residence permit applications to the Application Centre maintained by VFS Global, from December onwards residence permit applications can be submitted also in Manila. After outsourcing, the Consular Office of Finland in Manila will accept residence permit applications on a limited basis.

The purpose of outsourcing is to facilitate the submission of residence permit applications and to offer more comprehensive services to customers. You can complete your application form and pay the fee in the Enter Finland portal electronically. To submit an application, please make an appointment to the AC in advance. Residence permit applications must always be filed in person.

The Finnish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur will handle appointments that have been booked there earlier.  You can make an appointment for a residence permit application there also in the future.

The Finnish Immigration Service will process all residence permit applications as before.

A website and a new call centre for residence permit applicants will be launched in the end of November 2018.
