The Permanent Delegation of Finland to the OECD in Paris is recruiting a Chef de Cuisine
Main responsibilities
The Chef de Cuisine will design and prepare high-quality events that vary from small, informal meals to formal dinners and receptions. Most of the work will take place at the ambassador’s residence and at the premises of the Permanent Delegation (1, Place de Finlande). The Chef will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality supplies and kitchen equipment, and for maintaining them. She/he will also be tasked with some light maintenance duties at the ambassador’s residence.
Essential skills
Professional training in culinary arts
Previous experience as a Chef
Availability for flexible working hours, depending on event requirements
Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills as well as capacity to work efficiently as part of a team
Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Good knowledge of English
Other qualities
Basic knowledge of French
Knowledge of Nordic culinary traditions, or willingness to learn
Unless otherwise agreed, the position will start between 1 December 2022 and 1 February 2023 with an initial 18-months fixed-term contract. The person selected for the post will be subject to the terms and conditions of locally hired personnel, under the French labor law. The probationary period is three months and the working time is 35 hours per week.
