Information for Nepalese students applying for a residence permit for studies in Finland

The Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu is currently handling a high volume of student residence permit applications from Nepal to Finland. For this reason, the waiting time for receiving an appointment at VFS Global Visa Application Center is extended.

Extra appointment slots will be made available every week during the summer months and the applicants will be contacted via email by VFS Global.

Kindly note that calling or emailing the Embassy will not expedite the residence permit handling process. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
