How about getting a job in Finland?
Finland is bidding immigrants a warm welcome. The attractions of working in Finland include good working conditions and high employment security. Even the intriguing Finnish language poses no barrier to newcomers willing to make an effort. Last year some 22,500 people migrated to Finland.

Finnish healthcare goes multicultural
Hanna Aschan, Manager of Nursing at Helsinki University Central Hospital (HUCH), believes there will soon be a great need for more skilled and trained healthcare personnel. The work will have to be reorganized and existing work communities primed to welcome staff from other countries.

PISA 2006: Suomalaisoppilaiden tulokset ovat huipputasoa
Suomalaisoppilaiden osaaminen luonnontieteissä, matematiikassa ja lukutaidossa on huipputasolla. Luonnontieteissä ja matematiikassa suomalaisoppilaat ovat OECD-maiden parhaita ja lukutaidossa toiseksi parhaita. PISA 2006 -tutkimuksen pääalueena oli luonnontieteellinen osaaminen.

The changing face of the Finnish capital
The makeup of Helsinki's population has changed quite dramatically over the past two decades. As the city becomes increasingly more cosmopolitan, this is reflected in the growing number of multicultural offerings ranging from world music festivals and exhibitions to new ethnic restaurants and bars.

Rasi om stödet till Nepal: Helheten viktig
Finland och Nepal förhandlade bilateralt i fredags för första gången på fyra år. Det skogsrelaterade utvecklingssamarbetet håller på att återupptas på agendan. ”Vi vill emellertid se det som en del av en naturekonomisk helhet: skogar och de nuvarande huvudområdena, miljö, vattenvård och sanitation, är strakt förenade med varandra”, säger understatssekreterare Marjatta Rasi.
