Advance voting abroad in Finland's parliamentary elections in 2019

The parliamentary elections will be held on Sunday 14 April 2019. Advance voting will be possible abroad from 3 to 6 April. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is responsible for the organisation of advance voting abroad.

There will be 219 advance polling stations abroad(Link to another website.) (Opens New Window), located in Finland's diplomatic and consular missions or their offices in 86 different countries.

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is responsible for the organisation of advance voting in Finland’s missions abroad and on board Finnish ships sailing outside the Finnish territory during the advance voting period.

The Ministry of Justice of Finland has the overall responsibility for conducting elections. It has published a list of the advance polling stations and their opening hours on its website at vaalit.fi(Link to another website.) (Opens New Window).

Voting by post(Link to another website.) (Opens New Window) will be possible for the first time in connection with these parliamentary elections. Information on the dates, instructions and an order form for postal voting documents are available on vaalit.fi.
