US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to visit Finland

The US Department of State has confirmed that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will visit Finland on 21 April. The visit will take place at the invitation of Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb.
The visit will begin with a working lunch between Secretary of State Clinton and Foreign Minister Stubb. During her visit, Secretary of State Clinton will also meet with President of the Republic Tarja Halonen and Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen.
In honour of the 35th anniversary of the CSCE, Secretary of State Clinton will deliver a speech, entitled “Global Human Security,” to an invited audience.
The previous bilateral meeting between the Finnish Foreign Minister and the US Secretary of State held in Finland took place in 1989.
