Assistant Secretary of State of the United States visits Finland

Assistant Secretary of State of the United States, Ms A. Elizabeth Jones will visit Finland on 8-9 November. During her visit Ms Jones will meet with Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja and Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen. They will discuss bilateral relations and topical international questions.

Assistant Secretary of State Jones is responsible for the relations with Europe and Eurasia within the US Department of State. She has held this position since 2001. Among other things she has earlier served as US Ambassador to Kazhakstan.
