New Press Counsellors to Berlin and Stockholm and new Cultural Counsellor to Stockholm

Leo Riski. Photo: YLE. Leo Riski, journalist and Master of Political Science, has been appointed Press Counsellor to the Finnish Embassy in Berlin as from 1 September. Riski has worked as journalist for interior and foreign affairs in news and current affairs programmes for the Finnish Broadcasting Company since 1977. He has been the main Brussels correspondent for the Finnish Broadcasting Company in 1991-1994 and correspondent in Berlin in 2001-2005. Riski has just finished his one-year Harvard Fellow programme. Before his move to Berlin in September, Riski will be introduced to his tasks at the Department for Communication and Culture of the Finnish Foreign Ministry as of 4 August. In this post, he succeeds Cita Högnabba who is to start in a new post in Stockholm.

Cita Högnabba Cita Högnabba, journalist and Bachelor of Political Sciences, has been appointed Press Officer to the Finnish Embassy in Stockholm as from 19 September. Högnabba has worked at the Finnish Embassy in Berlin as Press Counsellor since 2002. Before that she worked as reporter and political journalist for the Swedish news at the Finnish Broadcasting Company in 1983-1988 and as correspondent in Stockholm in 1988-1997 and in Berlin in 1997-2002. She succeeds Dan Ekholm in her new post in Stockholm.

Henrik Wilén Henrik Wilén, Master of Political Science, has been appointed Cultural Counsellor to the Finnish Embassy in Stockholm as from 1 September. Since 2000, he has been Director of the Nordic Institute in Finland. He has also worked as Press Secretary at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland in 1989-1990 and as Cultural Counsellor at the Finnish Embassy in Oslo in 1995-2000. Wilén has also worked as journalist for Hufvudstadsbladet in 1987-1989 and in 1990-1995. He succeeds Anna-Maija Marttinen in his new post.
