Foreign Minister Tuomioja to visit India

Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja will pay a working visit to India on 6-7 May. Tuomioja will meet Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid with whom he will discuss international and regional issues of topical interest and the relations between Finland and India.

The topics on the agenda will include the security policy situation of South Asia, cooperation between the European Union and India, the situations of Syria and Iran, sustainable development, including climate change, and the India Action Plan Finland published recently.

During his visit, Foreign Minister Tuomioja will also meet representatives of the Indian administration and the main opposition party, and other influential persons in the Indian society.
