Foreign Minister Stubb to visit Madrid

Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will travel on 10-11 November to Spain, where he will meet with Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos.
During their bilateral talks the two Foreign Ministers will discuss, among other topics, Spain’s upcoming Presidency of the EU. The main themes of the talks are topical EU issues, with particular attention, e.g. to climate and energy issues. In addition, the Foreign Ministers will discuss preparations for implementation of the Lisbon Treaty and other current events in international politics.
Aside from the political talks, Foreign Minister Stubb will attend the dinner for EU Foreign Ministers arranged by the Foreign Minister of Spain and will deliver an address on topical EU issues at the esteemed Real Instituto Elcano.
