Foreign Minister Stubb to make his first visit to Estonia

Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will make his first visit to Estonia on 23 April. Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet will host the visit.

In addition to Foreign Minister Paet, in Tallinn Stubb will also meet Prime Minister Andrus Ansip as well as Sven Mikser, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Estonian Parliament, and Marko Mihkelson, Chairman of the EU Committee of the Estonian Parliament. In the morning the same day, Stubb will meet President of Estonia Toomas Hendrik Ilves in Helsinki.

The topics of discussion will include the bilateral relations between Finland and Estonia, the Baltic Sea region cooperation, the Lisbon Treaty, and the EU climate and energy policy. There are also other international issues on the agenda, such as the current affairs of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the Western Balkans, and Afghanistan.
