Foreign Minister Stubb to visit Åland

Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will visit Åland on Tuesday, 7 September.

He will take part in a seminar jointly organized by the Åland Government and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The theme of the seminar is Demilitarization and Neutrality of Åland in the Face of Europe’s New Challenges. At the seminar Stubb will give a speech entitled “Our common new challenges in Europe after the Lisbon Treaty.” The other speakers at the seminar are Director Teija Tiilikainen of the Finnish Institute of International Affairs and Commodore Anders Gardberg, Commander of Uusimaa Brigade.

During his visit, Foreign Minister Stubb will also meet senior secondary school students from Åland.
