Foreign Minister Soini travels to the NB8 meeting in Riga

The Nordic and Baltic Foreign Ministers will gather at a foreign ministerial NB8 meeting in Riga, Latvia, on 25–26 August 2016. Finland's representative at the meeting will be Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini.

The ministers will discuss topical EU issues, strengthening of the regional security, and follow-up of the NATO summit. Other items on the agenda will be cooperation with the UN, the future prospects of NB8 cooperation, and the current situation in Russia, Ukraine, Syria and Turkey.
