Foreign Minister Kanerva to visit Germany

Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva will visit Germany on 8-9 January and meet his colleague, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

The key topics of discussion will include the Finnish OSCE Chairmanship that just started, the situation in Kosovo, and the relations between the EU and Russia. Further topics on the agenda are the development of the European Union Foreign and Security Policy, common challenges of the Baltic Sea region, and the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty.

Foreign Minister Kanerva will also get acquainted with the common Nordic Embassy Complex in Berlin, and especially the Finnish Embassy located there and its staff.
