Foreign Minister Kanerva to meet Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov in Moscow

Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva will visit Russia on 5 July and have talks with his colleague, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow. The topics of discussion will include current bilateral questions, EU-Russia relations and most important international questions.

The bilateral issues to be discussed include implementation of the agreement easing visa regulations. Other topics on the agenda are the Northern Dimension and co-operation across the borders. As far as international questions are concerned, the ministers will discuss at least Kosovo and the situation in the Middle East, as well as topical OSCE affairs.
