Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva to visit Paris

Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva will travel to Paris on Monday, 17 March to meet with Bernard Kouchner, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of France. At their meeting on 18 March, the ministers will discuss, for instance, topical issues of foreign and security policy, such as the situation in Kosovo, Afghanistan, the Middle East, Sudan and Chad as well as developments in Russia. With his French colleague, Minister Kanerva will also discuss the future French Presidency of the European Union and topics of Finland’s Chairmanship of the OSCE.

Foreign Minister Kanerva’s programme in Paris also includes a meeting with Jean-Pierre Jouyet, the French Minister of State responsible for European Affairs.
