Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb to visit Moldova and Ukraine

Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will make official visits to Moldova on Wednesday, 7 July and Ukraine on Thursday, 8 July.
Minister Stubb will visit Moldova on the invitation of Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca. The agenda includes meetings with the Acting President and Speaker of Parliament Mihai Ghimpu and Prime Minister Vladimir Filat.
In Ukraine Minister Stubb will meet with new political leaders of the country, such as President Viktor Yanukovych, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Foreign Minister Kostiantin Hryshchenko and Speaker of Parliament Volodymyr Lytvyn. Moreover, Minister Stubb will speak at the Kiev Institute of World Policy.
The discussions will touch upon the development of relations between the European Union and its Eastern neighbours, the EU's Eastern Partnership, the current state and outlook of internal affairs in the two countries, and Finnish-Moldavian and Finnish-Ukrainian bilateral relations.
