Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb to visit Stockholm

Minister for Foreign Affairs Alexander Stubb will visit Stockholm on Wednesday, 10 June. In the evening, Stubb will attend a dinner hosted by the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt, during which the guests will discuss, for instance, issues associated with the Swedish EU Presidency, beginning in July.

In the afternoon, Stubb will give a lecture at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (Utrikespolitiska institutet, http://www.ui.se) his subject being the enhancement of EU’s global role. Earlier during the day, Stubb’s programme will include a meeting with Minister for International Development Cooperation Gunilla Carlsson, and a lunch meeting with the former Foreign Minister Jan Eliasson and MP Urban Ahlin, the foreign policy spokesperson for the main opposition party, the Social Democrats.

Stubb will travel to Stockholm directly from the Nordic Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Reykjavik on Tuesday evening and return to Finland early on Thursday morning.
