Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen to St. Petersburg

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen will visit St. Petersburg on 9-10 June to attend the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.

During the visit, Minister Väyrynen will meet St. Petersburg Governor Valentina Matviyenko. The topics of discussion during the meeting will include the economic relations between Finland and St. Petersburg and the Neighbouring Area Cooperation. The programme will also include a meeting with representatives of Finnish companies operating in St. Petersburg.

The forum will be attended by representatives of the worlds of business and politics from all over the world, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson, Director-General of the World Trade Organization Pascal Lamy, and former Vice President of the United States Albert Gore. The annual Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum is now organised for the 11th time.
