Foreign Minister of Turkey to visit Finland

Foreign Minister Ali Babacan of Turkey will visit Finland on Monday, 12 May. Babacan will hold talks with Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb and he will also meet with President Tarja Halonen.

Foreign Ministers Babacan and Stubb will discuss bilateral relations as well as relations between the EU and Turkey. Also on the agenda are matters linked with Finland’s Chairmanship of the OSCE and other topical international political issues.

During his visit, Foreign Minister Babacan will also meet with Sauli Niinistö, Speaker of the Finnish Parliament, and Erkki Tuomioja, Chairman of the Grand Committee of the Finnish Parliament, and he will deliver a talk at the Paasikivi Society.
