Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust accepts Finland as full member

Finland was accepted on 16 December as a member country of the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust in Haifa, Israel. Established ten years ago, the Task Force currently has 27 member states along with Finland. The non-European member states are the United States, Canada, Argentina and Israel. The Task Force has a rotating Chairpersonship. The current Chair is Israel.

The Task Force is an intergovernmental body whose purpose is to support Holocaust education, research and remembrance. The member countries are convened to a plenary session twice a year. The work is mainly carried out in expert working groups. The Task Force Secretariat is located in Berlin.
