Note from Finland to Afghanistan requests an explanation

According to information received by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, persons sentenced for the death of Petri Tapio Immonen, who had served in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) operation in Afghanistan, have been released. Immonen was killed on 23 May 2007 during an attack against the Norwegian-led unit in which an Afghan civilian also died and three Norwegian peacekeepers were injured.
Finland and Norway have together reacted to the information and are clarifying what has happened. In a note the Finnish Embassy in Kabul also requests an explanation of the matter via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.
