The foreign ministers of Finland, Sweden and Norway to convene in Helsinki

Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva will meet Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt and Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in Helsinki on Monday 31 March.

During their meeting, the foreign ministers will discuss topical foreign and security political issues of current interest to all the three countries. The meeting is a continuation for the discussions the ministers had in Bodö in October 2007.

The topics of discussion include, for instance, international crisis management, strengthening of co-operation in regional questions and in the northern regions, as well as the relations with Russia.

The programme also includes a visit to the command centre of the Gulf of Finland Coast Guard.
