The tenth joint meeting of the Finnish-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation in Moscow

The tenth joint meeting of the Finnish-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation will be organised in Moscow on 20 March. The delegation of the Commission’s Finnish party is chaired by Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen. The agenda of the joint meeting includes traffic, customs, forest industry, and energy affairs. In addition, topical questions related to, for instance, innovation-related and Neighbouring Area Cooperation will be discussed.

Even before the joint meeting, Minister Väyrynen will meet the Russian co-chair of the Commission for Economic Co-operation, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Elvira Nabiullina. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the impacts of the economic crisis and other questions of current interest associated with the Finnish-Russian trade and economic cooperation between the ministers. In addition, Minister Väyrynen will meet representatives of Finnish companies and Russian industry in Moscow.
