Ministers for Nordic Cooperation to promote the reform and effectiveness of Nordic cooperation in the European Union

The Ministers for Nordic Cooperation will meet in Copenhagen on 1 July 2016. Finland's Minister for Nordic Cooperation and Minister of Transport and Communications Anne Berner will chair the meeting. Finland holds the Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2016.
The Finnish Presidency seeks to enhance the Nordic countries' impact in the European Union and to continue the modernisation of the Nordic Council of Ministers.
The Ministers for Nordic Cooperation will hold a theme discussion on the EU and the Nordic countries and lay down guidelines for the ongoing reform of the Nordic cooperation (Norden 2.0).
They are also expected to finalise the decision-making process related to the launch of a new cooperation programme. The new programme is meant to promote exchange of best practices and experiences gained from the integration of refugees and migrants between the Nordic countries.
