Ministers for Nordic Cooperation meet in Copenhagen

Minister for Nordic Cooperation and Minister of Transport and Communications Anne Berner will chair the meeting of Ministers for Nordic Cooperation in Copenhagen on 6 September 2016. In Copenhagen, the Ministers will discuss the proposal concerning the Nordic Council of Ministers' modernisation (now Norden2.0). The objective of the reform is to call attention to the significance and political effectiveness of Nordic cooperation.
Other themes on the agenda of the meeting include the cooperation, started by the Nordic Council of Ministers, facilitating the integration of refugees and migrants in the region.
Additionally, the Ministers for Nordic Cooperation will discuss the Nordic Council of Ministers' budget proposal for 2017 as well as border controls.
Finland holds the Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2016.
