Minister of Finance of Nepal Mahat to visit Finland

Minister of Finance of Nepal Ram Sharan Mahat will visit Finland on 4-7 February at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen. The topics of discussion will include the status of the Nepal peace process, relations between Finland and Nepal, Finland’s new development policy programme, and three-year plan for the transition period in Nepal and Finland’s role as supporter of the process. Issues related to the climate change in the Himalayan region will also be on the agenda.

During his visit, Minister of Finance Mahat will also meet Finnish Minister of Finance Jyrki Katainen, visit the Finnish Meteorological Institute, and get acquainted with the Vuosaari Power Plant.
