All Finnish citizens known to be in Myanmar during cyclone have been reached

The Finnish Embassy in Thailand confirmed on Friday 9 May that all the Finnish citizens that the embassy so far had knowledge of having been in Myanmar during the cyclone have now been reached. According to their own reports to the embassy, all the Finns are all right.

Ambassador Lars Backström will get acquainted with the area destroyed by Nargis, participate in co-ordination meetings of assistance operations, and meet representatives of relief organisations on Sunday and Monday 11-12 May.
