Annika Saarikko appointed Minister Väyrynen's Press Attaché

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen has appointed Annika Saarikko as his new Press Attaché. Previously working in communications at the Church Council, Saarikko will take up her new post at the Ministry on 20 July.

Saarikko, 25, has a degree in education and she is currently finalising a second degree in media studies at the University of Turku.

In her new post, Saarikko replaces Riikka Manner, Press Attaché of Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, who was elected Member of the European Parliament in June.
