Markus Ojakoski appointed Senior Adviser to Minister Väyrynen

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen has selected Markus Ojakoski (aged 33) to be his new Senior Adviser. Currently Administrative Director at Teuva municipality, Markus Ojakoski will take up the position of Senior Adviser to the Minister on 8 October.

Ojakoski holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Tampere and a Master’s degree in Political History from the University of Salford in the UK. Ojakoski has previously served, among others, as Senior Adviser to the Minister of Culture in Prime Minister Vanhanen’s first Cabinet in 2006–2007.

Ossi Martikainen, the former Senior Adviser to Minister Väyrynen, will take up local and regional government tasks in Northern Savo on 1 October and will also continue his research work on turning points in the Europe policy of Finland’s Centre Party.
