Minister Väyrynen to make an export promotion trip to Ekaterinburg

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen will make an export promotion trip to Ekaterinburg on 16-19 November. Minister Väyrynen will travel with an unprecedentedly large business delegation including more than 50 representatives of Finnish enterprises and organizations, assembled by the Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce.
The objective of the trip is to promote business opportunities of Finnish enterprises in Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk oblast. The business delegation extensively represents different business sectors: logistics and traffic, energy production, energy efficiency and ecological industry, construction and building management, metal industry and industrial equipment, forestry and wood processing, mining industry, and services and commerce. Finnish enterprises are increasingly interested in the Ural District. More than 60 Finnish companies have a presence in Ekaterinburg.
Minister Väyrynen will meet with the Governor of the Sverdlovsk oblast Alexander Misharin and other local leaders, and the temporary Mayor of Ekaterinburg Alexander Yakob. Väyrynen will also open the Finnish-Russian Business Forum. In addition, Minister Väyrynen will visit the Ural Federal University and attend laying of the foundation stone in YIT's residential construction site.
