Minister Väyrynen to meet with World Bank President Zoellick in Copenhagen

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen will attend the meeting between the World Bank Nordic and Baltic Countries group and Robert B. Zoellick, President of the World Bank, in Copenhagen on 24 March.
The topics of discussion will include the World Bank’s strategy following the global economic crisis as well as issues pertaining to reform of the World Bank’s administration and voting structure and increase in its equity.
A meeting between the Nordic and Baltic Countries group and the senior management of the World Bank is held annually. This year’s meeting is hosted by Denmark and Minister for Development Cooperation Søren Pind. The corresponding meeting a year ago was held in Helsinki.
