Minister Väyrynen to attend Investment Forum Sochi

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen will make an export promotion visit to Investment Forum Sochi in Sochi, situated in Krasnodar Krai region of Russia, on 17-19 September. The Minister will be accompanied by a business delegation of 25 people.
The Minister will attend the international investment forum, held in Sochi for the eighth time, which is an important meeting place for political and economic decision-makers. At the forum, various regions of Russia have extensive displays and presentations of their investment projects and, naturally, this year the Olympic projects will also hold a prominent role.
The Finnish business delegation represents various sectors of construction, interior decoration, consulting, and engineering expertise. The purpose of the visit is to promote the business opportunities of Finnish companies in Krasnodar Krai region, and particularly their access to projects associated with the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.
During the visit, Minister Väyrynen will meet Elvira Nabiullina, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexander Tkachev, Governor of Krasnodar region, and Taimuraz Bolloyev, CEO of Olympstroy, responsible for the construction projects of the Sochi Olympics.
The Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce was in charge of the assembly of the Finnish business delegation.
