Minister Väyrynen to visit Brussels

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen will visit Brussels on 14-15 November. Väyrynen will meet with Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht and Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva on Monday.

Väyrynen will discuss with both Commissioners his proposal for a global strategy he put forward in the Development Ministers meeting in June. The agenda with De Gucht also includes WTO issues and updating of the EU trade policy strategy, and with Commissioner Georgieva the EU external relations and humanitarian aid, and reinforcing of disaster preparedness of the EU.

During his visit Minister Väyrynen will also meet with MEP Riikka Manner.
