Minister Stubb to attend World Economic Forum in Istanbul

Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade Alexander Stubb will attend the World Economic Forum on cooperation between Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Eurasia in Istanbul, Turkey on 5-6 June.
The forum will discuss the mega region consisting of Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Eurasia and its opportunities as a source of innovation and economic growth while the world economy growth is slowing down. The forum will also discuss trade, consolidation of energy cooperation, and research and development contributions in the mega region. Capitalizing on the social dynamics of the Arab Spring in support of entrepreneurship, better governance and every-day security is also on the agenda.
Minister Stubb will participate in a televised debate on the Eurozone on Wednesday 6 June.
The forum will bring together more than 1,000 participants from business, civil society and government.
