Visit of Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis to Finland

Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis of Lithuania is visiting Finland on 28–29 April at the invitation of Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb.

Aside from bilateral relations between Finland and Lithuania, the foreign ministers will discuss Nordic–Baltic cooperation, cooperation in the Baltic Sea region and energy issues. Topical EU issues of discussion include, in particular, the external relations administration of the EU, the Eastern Partnership and Russia. The international affairs on the agenda are revision of the NATO concept of security, Afghanistan and Lithuania’s Chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe in 2011.

During his visit, Foreign Minister Ažubalis will also meet with President of the Republic Tarja Halonen and MP Pertti Salolainen, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Finnish Parliament.
