Latvian Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins to visit Finland

Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins of Latvia will visit Finland on Wednesday, 17 February at the invitation of Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb.

Aside from bilateral relations between Finland and Latvia, the two foreign ministers will discuss, among others, Nordic–Baltic cooperation, implementation of the EU Baltic Sea Strategy and Russia as well as the new Strategic Concept of NATO and Afghanistan. The topical EU issues on the agenda focus especially on the external relations administration, energy policy and the partnership with Russia.

During his visit Foreign Minister Riekstins will also meet with Speaker of Parliament Sauli Niinistö.
