FOCUS 2008 is fresh off the press: Highlighting Finnish environmental expertise

FOCUS on the Economy and Technology 2008, the annual publication showcasing Finland's attractions as a target for investments by foreign companies and investors, is now available.

Published jointly by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Employment and the Economy, Invest in Finland, Finnfacts and Tekes, the magazine provides a diverse and innovative image of the Finnish business environment, companies and society.

”This year we focused particularly on Finnish environmental technology. Among the people interviewed for this issue are Antti Herlin, Erkki Liikanen and Xiachang Zhang,” says the magazine's Editor-in-Chief Juha Parikka from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Alongside business and technology, FOCUS 2008 also surveys Finnish gastronomy, movies, fashion, design and autumn nature walks.

”We continued updating the look and structure of the publication. Once again our Art Director Ville Koponen succeeded in creating an eye-catching appearance that radiates innovativeness and Finnish design,” Parikka says.

The 36-page FOCUS is published in English in January, and in Spanish, Swedish, French, German, Russian, Chinese and Japanese in March-April. The magazine is distributed primarily by Finnish embassies around the world. Now in its sixth year of publication, FOCUS has sparked a lot of interest in the countries where it circulates.

Sanoma Magazines Finland – Custom Publishing, a unit of the SanomaWSOY group, handles the production, design and project management of FOCUS.
